About

A glass company, not a cleaning company.

We started on downtown storefront routes in 2013. Everything else we offer exists because it was making the glass dirty again.

Our story

How the business took this shape

The first route was eleven storefronts on Front Street, done before nine in the morning with a bucket and a brass channel. That work taught the thing this business is still built on: glass on a route looks permanently good and takes twenty minutes, and the same glass on a quarterly schedule takes ninety minutes and never quite comes back.

Residential work followed, and with it the coastal problem. Homeowners on Wrightsville Beach kept asking why their glass hazed over six weeks after a clean. The answer was salt aerosol, and the answer to the answer was an eight-week interval rather than a better cleaning product. That is where the plan structure came from: the interval is the product, not the visit.

The gutters, the soft wash and the solar arrays arrived the same way. Overflowing gutters were sending mineral streaks down onto the ground-floor glass. Algae on shaded siding was ending up on the sills. Solar modules are just tempered glass angled at the sky, and nobody else in the area was cleaning them without detergent. Each one started as a reason the glass got dirty again.

Today we run fixed route days across seven areas, price everything by pane count, and write the glass type on the file at the first visit so the crew arrives knowing what they are allowed to touch.

How we work

Four rules that decide everything else

These are not values on a wall. Each one changes what a technician does on your property.

01

Count it, then price it

Every quote starts with a pane count you can check. No hourly rates, no round numbers pulled out of the air, no creeping price on the third visit.

02

Identify the glass first

Soft-coat low-E, tempered, laminated, film, leaded, historic annealed. Each forbids something. Knowing which one is in front of you is the whole job.

03

Say when it is not worth it

Stage 3 etch is a replacement conversation. We put that in writing rather than selling a polish that leaves a distorted pane.

04

Fix the cause, not the symptom

A stained pane usually has a sprinkler head or a gutter corner behind it. We will point at it, because otherwise you pay us twice.

The crew

Who turns up

Route assignments are stable, so the person who learned your property is the person who comes back to it.

Dana Whitfield

Dana Whitfield

Owner and lead technician

16 years on glass

Started on downtown storefront routes in 2010. Handles every restoration grading personally because the call on stage 2 versus stage 3 decides whether a client spends money well.

Elias Mbeki

Elias Mbeki

High-access lead

11 years, rope and lift

Runs every rope descent and reviews anchor certification before a drop is scheduled. Also our lift operator for the Market Street commercial accounts.

Cassidy Doyle

Cassidy Doyle

Route manager, residential

7 years

Builds the pane counts and route days. If your crew arrives knowing which transom needs the 18 ft pole, that is Cassidy's file.

Hugo Santillán

Hugo Santillán

Solar and exterior lead

9 years

Runs the solar arrays and the soft wash rig. Keeps the production comparison reports for monitored systems.

Credentials

Licensing, insurance and safety

North Carolina does not license window cleaning as a trade, which means the only meaningful checks are insurance and safety programme. Ask any contractor for both before they touch your property. Ours are current and we send them the day you ask.

  • Workers' compensation on every technician, no subcontracted residential labour
  • International Window Cleaning Association member, blade policy per IWCA guidance
  • Rope descent programme per OSHA 1910.27: certified anchorages, independent lifelines, written rescue plan

What clients actually say

Client reviews

Eight weeks is exactly right for our elevation. They showed me the low-angle light test and I finally understood what I was actually looking at.

  • Two panes came back clear, one was too far gone and they told me straight rather than taking the money. Also found the sprinkler head that caused it.

  • Same crew, same Tuesday, done before we open at nine. Our landlord had the insurance certificate the day I asked.

  • Splitting the waterway side and the street side into different intervals cut our bill and the glass that matters still looks new.

  1. You reach a technician

Not a call centre. Whoever answers has cleaned glass on this coast and can tell you what your elevation needs.

  2. We ask four questions

Rough pane count, tallest storey, distance from open water, and whether sprinklers reach the glass. That is enough for a range.

  3. Fifteen minutes on site

A free count and glass check, usually within the same week. Written figure the same day, no sales visit.
